Our Climate Commitment
At ISIFARMER, we believe sustainable urban agriculture can play an important role in addressing climate change. While controlled-environment agriculture reduces many environmental impacts associated with traditional farming, we recognise that our own operations still generate emissions through electricity use, water consumption and purchased materials.
ISIFARMER commits to supporting the global ambition to limit global warming to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels, in line with the Paris Agreement, and to measuring and reducing the environmental impact of our own operations while maximizing the positive climate impact of our products and services.
Main Emission Sources
ISIFARMER’s main greenhouse gas emission sources are transport, purchased electricity, business travel, waste, and employee commuting. These are the priority areas for reducing our environmental impact.
Our SMART Targets
- Complete and update our greenhouse gas inventory annually.
- Maintain 100% renewable electricity at all controlled sites.
- Assess the sustainability performance of major suppliers by 2028.
- Publish an annual climate progress report.
- Track water consumption against the baseline.
Resources & Responsibilities
ISIFARMER’s leadership team is responsible for delivering the Climate Action Plan. Staff time, operational resources and existing tools are allocated to emissions monitoring, supplier engagement, water efficiency and annual climate reporting.
Tracking Progress
We review progress against our climate targets every quarter and publish an annual Climate Progress Report. Each target has a designated owner responsible for monitoring performance, with supporting data retained to ensure transparency and accountability.
Approval
This Climate Action Plan has been approved by ISIFARMER’s Sole Administrator and Highest Governing Body. It is reviewed annually and formally updated at least every three years to ensure it remains effective and aligned with the company’s climate commitments.
